From my understanding these were never a real thing right? Did this guys just build one? 5,000 is cheap people. One of you wagon lovers should jump on this.

All the parts to make it an SS probably bolt right into the wagon body with little to no modifications.

The only things it takes to change it to an SS lookalike is the grill, wheels, and trim removal/ adding badges. Still a decent price for the condition.

Wow, that is very sweet! I’m 90% sure its just a Buick Roadmaster without all the paneling. It was the same chassis as the SS, so all the parts would just bolt right on, but the Lt-1 actually did come in that Buick iirc

NP. If I recall correctly, this wagon wore Chevy, Olds, and Buick badges - no Pontiac version. Didn’t look too carefully, but I hope the suspension has been beefed up. Those things are like Nimitz class carriers.

Impala grill and wheels and some bodywork to turn the square rear wheel wells into round ones like the Impala. Engine swap. Maybe Impala suspension tweaks as well.

No engine modifications?

Chevy never built an SS wagon, only the impala SS. They made a LT1 powered wagon though. The big tip off is a) it's a wagon and b) the color. The Impala SS was only offered in black in 94, then added black cherry and green in 95-96
![]() 02/25/2016 at 18:44 |

Oh really? I didn’t know that is was so easy to change
![]() 02/25/2016 at 18:45 |

And modified the rear wheel wells. Nice job too.

Indeed they are. And I think you are right about the Pontiac bit as well
![]() 02/25/2016 at 18:46 |

That’s right down the street from my old house. Maybe I should go check it out.
![]() 02/25/2016 at 18:46 |

Oh I see. Well the modified wagon is still cool. Too bad Chevy did not offer it from the factory.

You totally should. And then buy it and let us know how awesome it is.

Nope, LT1 was the same 260 hp for Impala SS and the wagons. I think there might be a few interior differences but I wouldn’t be able to tell.

But that would mean going back to Lima...
![]() 02/25/2016 at 18:53 |

I didn’t notice that at first, not a fan.
![]() 02/25/2016 at 18:55 |

Really I didn't realize the differences were so minor

Thankfully I can say I’ve never been to that part of Ohio. Just stuck up at BGSU for college is all

YES. Last of the American land yachts, right there. Even better, the Buick version is also super cheap and has fake wood.

My brother and brother-in-law are both BGSU students! Small world.
Do we have any other NWO Oppos?
![]() 02/25/2016 at 19:01 |

It’s really simple. I’ve thought about doing that with my wagon but I’ve grown to love the standard front end.

Nah, looks better this way.

Either NP or it leaves a trail of rust behind it.

Badge engineering ftw.
Did I just say that?
![]() 02/25/2016 at 20:19 |

I've never seen B-Bodies be plagued by rust. Is that a thing?
![]() 02/25/2016 at 20:30 |

The Caprice came in wagons for those years and the LT-1 was standard 94-96.
![]() 02/25/2016 at 20:31 |

Yeah but it doesn't have the street cred of this!
![]() 02/25/2016 at 20:32 |

Not that I am aware of but we got a bunch in Detroit

Keep one of these spare:
Maybe a water pump too.....

Badge engineering is underrated

The car is in Ohio, so maybe.

+1 for the KIller Rabbit gif, Lima does suck but its home to the most Oppo worthy School there is UNOH!!!

I see everybody else chimed in already but yeah that’s a caprice wagon with Impala SS trim/grille/wheels/badges. I really love that Victory Red paint with the Impala’s trim but I think it would look amazing in factory Impala SS Dark Cherry

Hi from up north. University of Toledo, grad, 1994. Born, living and will probably die here. It could be worse though, I could be in Fremont. Shudder.

Hello from Toledo.

Might go there for law school next year!
![]() 02/26/2016 at 02:03 |

This is true. That’s probably the only reason I’d ever go back there.

Been there, also my brother. Good times were had by all.
